Kathy F. from United States captured the skin left by a garter snake, also known as a garden snake. She submitted the photo to Your Shot on National Geographic.
She says, “I was surprised to see how perfectly the skin had come off and [was] still in the shape of the snake.” She placed the skin on a leaf and took this macro shot to emphasize the details of the snake’s skin.
